I am Marcos Lopez. ATHAR is my web design, SEO and AI visibility studio in Abu Dhabi, and I do the work myself.
Marcos Lopez and ATHAR: what the name means
"Athar" is Arabic for the trace something leaves behind. It is written أثر.
I chose it because that is what a website is for. A visitor arrives, reads and leaves. What stays with them, and what stays in Google and in the answers of AI assistants, is the trace your business left. My work as a web designer and SEO specialist in Abu Dhabi is to make that trace clear, accurate and easy to find.
One specialist, no account managers
The person you message is the person who designs, builds and optimises your site. There is no handover between departments, so decisions are quick and nothing is lost between a brief and a build.
It also means accountability is simple. If something is wrong, you know who to ask, and I know it is mine to fix.
There are limits, and you should know them. I take a small number of projects at a time. Very large platforms that need a big team working in parallel are better served elsewhere, and I will tell you so if yours is one of them.
Bilingual by default
Every site is planned for English and Arabic from the brief, even if the Arabic version launches later. The page structure, the addresses and the layout are decided with both languages in mind, so adding Arabic does not mean rebuilding.
When the Arabic is written, it comes from the same brief as the English. It has a mirrored right-to-left layout and an Arabic typeface. No translation plugin. More on this on the web design page.
What happens if I am unavailable
This is the fair question to ask anyone who works alone.
Every account is in your name and handed over at launch. The site sits on a well known platform: Webflow, WordPress, Shopify or Framer. That means another professional can take over the site at any time, without asking me for access. You are never locked in.

Who does the work on my project?
I do, all of it. I design in Figma, build the site, write the copy and carry out the SEO work. You message me directly on WhatsApp or by email, and I reply within four working hours. Nobody else sits in between.
Do you only work with businesses in Abu Dhabi?
No. I am based in Abu Dhabi and work with businesses across the UAE, including Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah. The emirate you are in does not change the process or the price, and each city has its own search habits, which I take into account when I plan the pages.
How much does it cost to work with you?
